Hi! Thanks for writing for me. My Things I Like lists tend to be pretty long but I hope they're not obnoxiously so. Rifle through and pluck out the bits that sound interesting :)

In general: I'd rather have an in character conversation/world build than an unoffensive conversation/world build. This probably goes mostly for Deadly Class, but I mean it for any of the fandoms. Misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, if the characters would face it, write it. Four of my five fandoms this year have on screen drug use. Having done a bunch of things in my late teens, I have a huge squick for drug inaccuracies. Erowid.org is a great resource with trip reports and instructions if you need it.

I see life through very queer glasses. I automatically go to poly, then two-person-slash, then gen, then het. I'd really rather a genfic than a focus on paired heterosexual romance. And if you do write a slash or poly fic, I'm down with any rating. From essentially gen where they call each other boyfriend but don't even hold hands to 1k of fucking, I'm good.

I love Billy/Lex, Billy/Lex/Petra, Billy/Marcus, and Billy/Lex/Petra/Marcus. (for that matter, I also would ship the four of them with Saya, Maria, and Willie for a nice ot7, but you can only nom four characters so I went with the Rats). From Marcus talking about giving handjobs to Lex attacking people with dildos to Billy getting his arm broken for saying he gets why boys would have a crush on him and his soft skin, the chaotic bisexual energy is strong with literally all of them. Their bleak backstories are fascinating, as is the desperation to which they cling to their found families. They murder for each other, and there's a part of me that finds that so weirdly romantic. I can see basically any kink working for any combination, if you'd like to write a pwp. Or it can be more of a day in the life at the school thing, set mid or post canon. It'd be interesting to see what happens to the school once Lin presumably dies. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THOUGH, PLEASE DON'T LET LEX DIE. I staunchly ignore those last thirty seconds, and ignore them HARD.

Gossip Girl 2021: I’m gonna be honest, I watched this show entirely because in the trailer there appeared to be a threesome. I was not disappointed. I love everything about Aki/Audrey/Max. I weirdly relate to Audrey, the financial ruin thing (though mine went from middle class to poverty line, not super rich to rich), and the clinically depressed emotionally abusive mom. I grew up loving Brian Kinney from Queer As Folk, and Max is like his child; proudly sexual and hedonistic, drugs and sex and luxury goods a veneer over the inner pain, not that many care to look deeper. And then Aki, so gen and chill except for all the times his life is falling apart. His dad outing him (and mislabelling him too!) is brutal. I usually hate cheating storylines, the amount of times I’ve bitched ‘don’t cheat just be poly’ is staggering. And Gossip Girl is a show that actually goes there. They both go from ashamed of their cheating and Max being used, to finding comfort in each other. I was fucking over the moon that it ended happily. I’d love literally any relationship fic. Directly post canon fic, future adult them fic, anything that happens in the high moments of the episodes.

Scary Stories to Tell In the Dark: I'm sure Ramon is a nice guy, but I ship Stella/Auggie/Chuck ridiculously hard. I love that the boys stuck with her as the rest of the town shunned her, actively choosing her despite it making their lives harder. Chuck is my favourite character, with his dumb jokes and inability to behave properly, but Auggie as the aggravated but secretly loving their friendship bff and Stella the thinker are both great too. If you'd like to write an AU where the book doesn't attack that's fine, but I'd like it still being set in the 60's, not a modern AU. Pre-canon is also totally cool, an established thing with them all trying to sneak around their parents and siblings for this relationship that could get them killed, or their developing feelings and the way they finally spill out. Stella finding a way to get them back from the zombies and the pale lady with all the PTSD could be very fun too. Even a mid-movie AU where they suffer from the attacks but figure out ways to not die. I just want them together!

Sense8: I love Wolfgang, Rajan and Kala's dynamic together, so fucking much. Wolfgang is such a loner type, that when he tells Rajan other people wouldn't have done for him what he did and they're FRIENDS now, ugh. Even if you don't triangle ship them, only v-poly, they dance together at the wedding and I completely headcanon that Felix and Wolfgang and Rajan all hang out. And the way Rajan just wants to be a good husband, and genuinely means that in a 'what supports Kala' way, not in any traditional sense, fucking bless his soul. And Kala, struggling with it and the concept of secretly being "bad", and maybe that's okay...
Basically, I just want them to hang out and date and fuck. If you only subscribe to v-poly that's fine, but the final orgy scene had Wolfgang and Rajan kissing AND I DIED, so if you want to write triangle poly that's lovely too. (also, mild headcanon of felix/wolfgang having on and off extremely casual bro-sex. so if Rajan wants to have an OMG KINDA GAY revelation I'd understand it more than Wolfgang one? But you write what makes you happy) Also, I love the background ot8. If you felt like writing a snippet of a orgy within Rajan/Kala/Wolfgang that’d be rad as hell.

Fear Street: I ship Simon/Kate/Josh, because I spent the whole movie feeling the deep best friends who fuck vibe between Simon and Kate. They know each other inside and out, grew up together, together to the end (canonically they even die together, though I’d like a no char death AU please). So why would they be mad when one of them wants to find pleasure with someone else? Then comes all the sweet canon budding romance stuff between Kate and Josh, and Simon is like so fucking stoked for Kate. Except everyone is bisexual, so Simon/Josh happens. I’d be delighted with a shortly post canon PTSD ridden relationship building fic, or far future domestic fic. Or they get high on some of Kate’s pills and fuck. I love Simon for his range of raising his younger siblings and being best employee constantly with the goofiness of mooning people on a school bus. I love Kate’s ambition, and see her being really awesome in the future. And I love Josh’s nerdiness, and want to know what his next research obsession is, and future fave games are. He’s definitely an early adopter to future tech.

I was so excited when this show started with Katy dating both Jonesy and Reilly, and then the later seasons piled on and ruined it. I’d love an AU where they get back together any time during the canon, or post canon. I also have endless feelings about Reilly and Jonesy being bicurious, and Katy encouraging it. Canonically they synchronize the porn they watch, it’s really not that much of a leap to mutual masturbation. The transition from V-poly to a triangle is a beautiful thing.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: I love the mild D/s vibe of Ferris and Cameron's friendship, how Ferris' stupid plans always end up winning over Cameron's common sense, and that Sloane is completely an enabler. I'd love a bit of sexuality struggle for this trio, Ferris or Cameron pining but knowing in the 80's that it's best to just say nothing, until some kind of sparking event happens and truths are revealed. Or maybe a last-summer-before-university deal where nothing is serious, nothing has to MEAN anything, it's all okay (except feelings? possibly?). Or maybe Ferris doesn't consider fooling around with Cameron cheating, because it's CAMERON, and Sloane is his first girlfriend to find out and/or understand that codependency. I do love the hyjinks of the movie, and it's all very Ferris, but if you want to write something more chill, less grand gestures and handwaving from another point of view that's great too.

It's been three weeks since I was randomly pulled aside and told I needed to attend the toddler room staff meeting because SURPRISE I was going to be toddler room staff starting in the fall, until Christmas at least. And a new shift time too. It was a pretty hard blow, weighed down with triggers. It seemed so like Mckray. And not even pretending to give me a choice, and keeping the moving staff a secret until their meeting, like I didn't deserve to know who was replacing me. I was depressed and close to self harming and I couldn't stop crying, sometimes even at work. There was one night I got up to pee and couldn't get back to sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about it all, I just laid there for over four hours thinking.

I didn't have any Ativan left. I needed it, and I didn't have it, so I was a grown up and went to the walk in to solve my problem. Except I was told I could only get Benzo's from my assigned doctor. Except she doesn't do evening appts like the walk in she's located in do, and I can't take a day off work like that. I tried to get a new doctor, but the administration to assign docs was only open during my work hours. So I left a semi hysterical message on the answering machine, giving permission to talk to my parents, and the next day she called and talked to dad. The long and short of their multiple convos was I could go pick up some from the registered nurse on Saturday. Except when I got there on Sat, the RN told me she didn't have her perscription pad on her, and couldn't write me one.

I ended up having a appt with my actual assigned doc, and she gave me ten. I've only used one so far. I just hope it's worth all the emotional trauma. I hope I work longer than two weeks before getting fired. I hope toddler room goes okay, even though I'll be constantly monitored and the kids aren't half as smart and they're all in diapers. At least I won't have J1 and J2 as two badly behaved kids at the same time. The shift change does fuck me, but getting such a good bus ride for my first year of work was a fluke. My first day is monday. I hope it goes okay.

Yesterday, Monday the seventh, I got a job. The place I interviewed at on Friday liked me enough to call my references that afternoon and hire me Monday. I’d actually been sleeping, the phone woke me up, but dad got it first. I got out of bed anyway, to ask who it was, and he held the phone out to me. I took it, disappointed, knowing it was either Thur’s or Fri’s daycare phoning to tell me the position had been filed. I was worried about how I would handle myself, stay calm, since I’ve felt so upset at all the ‘no thanks’ emails. Because there’s been a few. I interviewed at

And sent in more resumes that didn’t even get responses, and each time it was a negative I felt bad. Instead the director asked if I still wanted to work there. My response was something like yes! It’s a nice change from when I didnt get the Stanley job, and she said she would stop taking her diabetes medication, my unemployment made her so depressed she wanted to die.

It’s scary though. Knowing I have to do this for eight hours a day, knowing how mcray went wrong. I worry I’m only good in four hour, part time stints. I’ve always said I have low ambitions, but what if I’m just lazy? And I don’t even know what’s fully expected of me. The position was supposed to be for 3-5 year olds, but when she asked I said my favourite age group was 2′s, and when I did the hands on, floor part of the interview she had me work with 2′s, and the 3-5 shift was supposed to be 8.15-5.15, but she told me to come in at 8.30 on Thursday, so maybe I’m NOT working with the 3′s?

I just really, really want this to go well. I’m a Hufflepuff at heart, so loyal. I want to work at the same place for ten years or more, I want to nest somewhere. Please, universe, let things go well.

One of my fandoms includes a lot of drug use, and the others could easily have it written in. Please, for the love of the Powers That Be, if you're writing them doing ___, write it accurately. Nothing kills a fic faster for me than a fic where someone takes E and gets really mad, or snorts coke and gets sleepy. If you haven't done anything in your past, a great resource is Erowid.org. There are about a thousand drugs listed, all with both scientific information and write-in trip reports.

I'd say they have a D/s dynamic, except for the consent thing, which is pretty important to standard D/s. I ship them quite strongly, but if you're not shippy, the canonical interactions are queer enough to get me by :) For this fandom I'd like canon based, or futurefic. I'd be delighted if you could figure out a way to make Mac come out AND STAY OUT. Maybe threesomes are okay, the woman cancels out the man? Or hit it from a religious angle, the new pope being the least homophobic pope the church has ever had? Maybe Charlie writes an even gayer musical and it breaks Mac's closet-willpower? Another idea, I think it’d be hilarious for Mac to get a boyfriend behind the Gang’s back, and how Dennis would lose his mind with jealousy when he finds out. How is he supposed to control Mac if Mac has another man?! Oh, and I headcanon Charlie as asexual, so I can see him being confused but vaguely supportive.

Macdonald Hall:
I ship Bruno/Boots and Bruno/Boots/Cathy/Diane. I really would not be interested in one male/one female. (I didn't request all four chars as to not demand poly from you, but if you're feeling it, please do!) Again, it comes down to the D/s dynamic. Even if it isn't sexual, I love how Bruno can talk anyone into doing anything, even though they're always initially reluctant. The same goes for Cathy. With Macdonald Hall I enjoy the stuff that comes up in all the books; crazy plans, Fish knowing all, Scrimmage and her shotgun, that thing Korman does where there's a large group of people talking and they all have one line and no one gets named. The phrase "sanctity of Macdonald Hall". I like the fact that the secondary characters are one dimensional- Elmer should always be smart, Sidney should always hurt himself, Wilbur should always eat. I would enjoy canonical, futurefic, or AU fic for this fandom. Cathy is secretly a werewolf? Macdonald Hall is a elite school/shelter in a barren wasteland, and the teachers despair because Sidney is one of their best hopes for mankind? Macdonald Hall is full of Light Court Faeries, and York Academy is for Dark Court Faeries, and Bruno freaks out when his unaffiliated friend Boots' dad begins to be swayed by the Dark Court? I love all kinds of urban fantasy, sci fi, and dystopias.

Wynonna Earp:
I’d like canon, or set in an alternate supernatural ‘verse. I picked the Wynonna and Waverly tags because I can’t envision a world where they don’t support each other and hang out. If you’d prefer I’d be happy with a gen case fic, the murderous demon of the week, what they’ve done and the research that goes into finding it. That said, if you’re willing to write ship-fic, you have two options. Waverly/Nicole is sweet and romantic, I’ve been rooting for it since Nicole’s first introduction. I also ship hardcore Wynonna/Dolls/Doc, and there’s practically none of it to be found. I don’t like Wynonna with either of them individually, neither of the individual dynamics fits for me.

Stranger Things:
I like the canon but I'd happily take a different supernatural menace, or a dystopia, or if you don’t know much about the 80’s, a modern AU. I’m really hoping you’re a shipper because I’d prefer ship fic (Steve/Nancy/Jonathan) if possible. I subscribe to the popular headcanon that Steve helped Nancy get the camera at the end of the season. Beyond that, whatever story you want I'll read.

Preacher:
I'd most like future fic. Make up your own idea for the ‘finding god’ roadtrip. (I know nothing of comics canon, so you can really go hog wild). Or hell, make it even further into the future than that, some kind of fucked up mentally unstable alcoholic curtainfic. I tagged for Cassidy/Jesse to get some friendly vamp boyfriend loving, but considering the end of s1, Tulip’s obviously pretty important to them. If you’re so inclined, I also ship the three of them, since Tulip’s been with them both.
A few things to think about- how do they feel when they find out about the town exploding? With Tulip and Cassidy’s pro-chaos and crime natures, does Jesse succumb or still try to ride the moral high horse? Also, this is extremely optional (I don’t want to be the shitty prompter that ends up on _coal), but if you do a roadtrip fic, some sneaky crossover references to other godless nightmare towns (Sunnydale, Night Vale, Sleepy Hollow etc) would be funny.

I had this great dream where Travvie, Gabe, and Pete all wrote a book together about adventuring questing magical Harry Potteresque kids. More specifically, it was three novellas, of the kids doing different things (like PS vs COS vs POA) each written by one of them individually, published in one big tome.

And then if you bought the special more expensive edition of the book, after the three novellas and the afterword there were three short stories, set from the parent POV of one of the MC's parents. And that's when the 'leftist' bomb was dropped.

MC A's mom is single and asexual, and A was a mistake borne out of the only time mom had sex, but she can't regret her happening, even if she worries that when A gets older one of these close friends will become a relationship she can't give advice about. MC B's mom is a widowed lesbian who HATES that B is going off on these adventures because she can't stand the idea that her only loved one left might die. MC C's gay dad is single and always has been, and adopted C anyway, because you don't need to have a soul mate to love in other ways, and he's so proud of C and how loyal C is to her friends.

I can't remember who wrote MC A and MC B, but I know that Travvie wrote single gay dad POV. And I remember that mainstream media made a big deal about how in the three novellas ABC seemed to have "normal" relationships with their parents in the few sentences of dialogue that included parents, when how could they ~really~ with such odd rolemodels? And Pete and Gabe and Travvie were like WHATEVER WHATEVER TALK TO THE HAND and Pete didn't even do interviews without Patrick there, because Patrick had helped him edit his novella into coherency.

(I woke up kinda cranky, because I realised the book didn't exist. And I would read it SO FUCKING MUCH. Harry Potter with proudly in-text queer characters? I'm getting a literature-boner as we speak)

I love that moment of "...wait. you're fannish, aren't you?" Where it feels like you are some sort of fannish detective searching the truth of people's souls.

I had a suspicion about someone I'm swapping crafts with, because they have a Potter Puppet Pals embroidered hoop pinned, and who even likes those except fandomers? So I poked around, and followed a link of a link, and eventually found a picture of her cosplaying at Alcatraz (a HP con in California) So I just sent her a message talking about the cons I've been to, and replied to her 'what's your hobby' question with fanfic!!!
