gala_applesi have been on lj for a motherfucking long time. since grade nine, and lying about my age to get into the comms i wanted. i never thought to leave, i made it through Blackout without running to greatestjournal or journalfen. i've made it through Strikeout, which a good handful of people i knew personally didn't, at the time i had a lot of friends on pornish_pixies. sure i got a insanejournal, but that was just a fic-journal, just in case lj got pissy about smut again. i never considered leaving, because all my history is on here.
that being said, as i watch the ljnews comments soar higher and higher (4331 DNW's at the moment) i've been informed it's possible to import both posts and everyone's comments into dw. does anyone know what program i need to download for this? regardless of what happens, i am not willing to leave lj if i can't keep my posts from 2004 and their comments. but if i can import, there is a far higher chance of me migrating.
oh, and it goes without saying that if anything is crossposted, you're defriended and banned. i highly doubt anyone would. in my opinion nobody in fandom would actually consider this action, everyone is intelligent enough to a) realise that no one wants their fucking shit on twitter and b) that they would lose all their friends if they did. it's when you get spamfriends that comment before you have a chance to ban them that i'm worried about. and even then, not so much because i have very few connections between gala_apples and rl stuff.
it's just the anger that comes with not being asked about this. i don't tend to like authority, and online website owners are authority, and they need to step the fuck off.

as two of five bullets on the homepage, i sigh a tiny sigh of relief. lj is home, but it's sort of dysfunctional home right now, and IJ and DW seem to be nice places to go chill occasionally.

I have a DW account under the same username, so if you decide to open an account, friend me over there. Let's hope it doesn't have to come down to leaving LJ for good; but if it ever happens, I want to be able to keep in touch with my flist.
