-Delicious is still the first autofill that comes when I type D into my address bar. *sigh* I will never stop being bitter. I didn't update my yahoo early enough, so my account was lost forever. IT'S NOT LIKE I WANTED TO READ THAT WAYCEST AGAIN ANYWAY, RIGHT?

-I have finally figured out why signing up for bandstuffsit is so hard. It's because there's only one exchange per year. I was all blase, all WHATEVS, I'VE DONE PROBABLY LITERALLY A HUNDRED EXCHANGES, WHATEVER WHATEVER. But it's different, because if you leave off something you might want, you don't wait a week until the next exchange sign-up to request it then. You have to wait an entire YEAR. So there's pressure to make sure you put ALL THE THINGS.

-That being said, hahahahaha my signup. I don't think I'm being overly difficult. I have a medium sized list of tropes and kinks to be plundered for ideas, but I've also said 'any kink except __ and __ are fine, really.' But my pairings. HEH. 5 GSFs, 1 foursome, 3 threesomes, 2 (mandatory) pairings, and a slutty Mikey. I JUST LIKE MULTIPLE BODIES, OKAY? I've said it like a hundred times. GSF was what got me into bandom.

-Speaking of, for anyone that answered the poll a few entries back, I ended up going for Mikey/Spencer/Brendon/Ian/Dallon. It is half domestic, half sex. Lot of dialog. Lot of worldbuilding. Basically, a fic by gala.

-Warehouse 13. I am halfway through season two. this show is currently the shit. (who wants Claudia/Myka? ME ME ME) Also, not that I pay a lot of attention to potential !fail, but of five main characters, two are black, three are female, and they range in age from 50's to teenager. Nicely done, show. Please don't suddenly start sucking. Also, it would be super cool if your companion shows of Eureka and Alphas were as interesting.

-ETA: I want this in fic form. If it's too creepy to have Gerard/LynZ or Frank/Jamia or Pete/Ashlee do it, (which is a valid opinion) how about someone who doesn't have kids, and it's a total AU? Mikey/Alicia? Ryland/fill-in-a-girl's-name?

Warehouse 13 is REALLY GOOD. I'm enjoying it so much.

I seriously hope I'm not being difficult with my sign up sheet. considering what I tend to write

*HUGS* hope you had fun yesterday.:)

There's nothing wrong with wanting Brendon/ALL THE PEOPLE. The difference between us is I want Brendon/ALL THE PEOPLE AT THE SAME TIME. :D

Oh man, I just signed up with a list as long as my arm...and with pairings no one is going to write for me anyway (because I love the non-bandom crossover pairings so hard) and I do not want MCR GSF either /o\. But I do want all the Gerard (threesome) fiction. Chances are I am not writing a fic for you, but I feel more pressured when I write for strangers, so I'm torn between wanting to know for whom I'm going to write and not, as knowing will stress me out too. Why do I even sign up for these things? There must be something wrong with me. *LE SIGH*

Like I told khereselle as I'm trying to get her to sign up, it's a double present. Because first you get a fic catered to your exact whims, needs, and desires. And THEN you get the person you wrote a fic for writing a ten paragraph comment about everything they loved about it. Exchanges are the SHIT, it's just sad that there's only one in bandom whereas HP had about three signups a month. I had a filled signup in a doc, ready to c&p into all the real signups, so I didn't have to write out my kink list every two weeks. *remembers fondly*

I still really miss Delicious. It's so difficult to find fic that I have this sort of vague memory of now that it's gone. I'm hoping pinboard will start working for that if more people transfer over (fingers crossed)

I have the same problem with Bandstuffsit. I don't know why either. Yuletide isn't as difficult and it doesn't allow as many options.

Fic by Gala is never amiss. I'm very curious to see what you do with Mikey/Spencer/Brendon/Ian/Dallon.

Okay I kind of want that in fic form too but I have no idea how to write it. I mean I suppose Pete/Mikey would work for AU but I kind really like the idea of it staying as het fic...

[identity profile] gala-apples.livejournal.com 2011-10-16 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
I mean it's easy enough to find, I dunno, the one where they're all homeless teenagers. I might not know the title, but everyone on my flist will. But, like...the one where Mikey blew someone so they'd let the band crash at their house, back in the early Bullets days? THAT WAS A REALLY GOOD FIC, THAT I'LL NEVER READ AGAIN. *cries*

For the third year in a row I'm cosndiering signing up for Yuletide, and for the third year I probably won't. I just really want Bruno and Boots fic, and if I can't get that I'll settle for some Reaper or Warehouse 13. But then I have to WRITE a rare fandom, and it's not like there are a lot of fics to gather a general fandom decided personality from.

Like, I don't want to squick people by namedropping Bandit or Bronx or Lily and Cherry. But at the same time I just love the idea of a married couple doing porn to pay the mortgage. *shrugs*

Stupid Delicious >.<

The same thing happened to me. Luckily, I had a lot of fics saved in IE (which I don't even USE anymore) bookmarks, so I got those back and have been scouring the internets to find what I lost. Ugh. WHY did they do that. WHY. >.<

And I signed up for bandstuffsit but UGH. I was so generic in what I put down because I wanted to cover ALL the things with the LEAST words.

[identity profile] gala-apples.livejournal.com 2011-10-16 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
THANKS FOR TOTALLY RUINING A GREAT THING. Fuckers.

See, I have allll the things in allll the words. But just think, a month from now you'll be turning in an awesomely written fic, and you'll know someone is doing the same for you.

So, did you get your sign up in at last?

[identity profile] gala-apples.livejournal.com 2011-10-16 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
Oh god, it was nearly 800 characters too large for one comment. That's not something you can change by backspacing My Chemical Romance to MCR. I just stared at it for, god, I dunno, like ten minutes before posting two comments then emailing the mod account to apologise/explain.

In conclusion: I moderately fail at signing up for things. But as long as the mods accept it, I don't care.

Hey, sorry, random stranger here. I was scrolling through reading your (AWESOME) fic and saw this. I've been watching the delicious status updates and you can rescue your tags from yahoo if you want. Instructions here (http://status.delicious.com/2011/10/rescue-your-bookmarks-from-yahoo-we.html). Also, they're not up to full functionality by any means, but it has gotten much better since the initial launch :-)
